Welcome to the home of the Suffolk Science Festival. Whether you think you like Science, Maths, Computing and Engineering or not come and take a look at the many free exhibits, stalls and stands for you to visit. We know how to bring Science Alive and for families this is the place to be at the start of the February school holiday.
The first Suffolk Science Festival will be over four central locations throughout the town of Bury St. Edmunds and on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th there will be a trail to lead you to the venues and events. We are creating a trail around the town to find the Planets and to stop at each station/venue and obtain the stamp for a card to say you have visited the venue. At the last location you visit, once your Trail card is complete you can leave your card with us and enter a draw for several amazing family prizes.
Solar System - The Creation
Space are we alone?
All of the exhibits are open to the public for free and although there is a Planet Trail each location has science workshops and exhibits of all topics and so you do not need to be interested in Astronomy to come along and join in.
We have three events that need to be booked and are ticketed workshops. We have so much fun planned for this weekend and in 2019 we will have an event for a whole week. We need to make this year a success so that we have a solid base and interested customers and sponsors to make this a themed event each year, so do please check us out and join in the days.
The 9th of February is the learning Day for this year and 200 children from local schools will have a whole day of Science entertainment and workshops for free in Bury St. Edmunds. If you wish your school to be included in the free events in 2019, sign up now to bring your class of children in Key Stage 1, 2 or 3 to a Scientific Extravaganza. Maybe you would like to sponsor our Free Education Day and then do contact us at Kinetic Science and the Festival Team will talk this through with you.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Suffolk Science Festival brought to you by the Kinetic Science Foundation
