Welcome to the home of the Suffolk Science Festival.  Whether you think you like Science, Maths, Computing and Engineering or not come and take a look at the many free exhibits, stalls and stands for you to visit.  We know how to bring Science Alive and for families this is the place to be at the start of the February school holiday.

Building on the success of our first Suffolk Science Festival last February, we are back, bigger and better than before!  With the Festival over five central locations throughout the town of Bury St. Edmunds there is so much to see and do.  The Festival runs each day from Tuesday the 19th to Sunday the 24th of February 2019.  This year our Theme is the “50th Anniversary of walking on the Moon” and to be inspired in this theme we are bringing “The Museum of the Moon” to Suffolk.  You will be able to view this stunning piece of Artwork in one of the venues and although free to visit we will be taking donations on the door if you wish to donate.  There will be a science themed trail around the venues for you to join in and the cards for the trail will be available at each venue – wherever you begin!  At the last location you visit, once your Trail card is complete you can leave your card with us and enter a draw for some family prizes.

The Science Festival is brought to you by Kinetic Science Foundation (a local Charity) so check us out:  –  www.kineticscience.co.uk

All of the exhibits are open to the public for free and although there is a Planet Trail each location has science workshops and exhibits of all topics and so you do not need to be interested in Astronomy to come along and join in.

Some of the events, workshops and talks will need to be booked in advance and are ticketed and have a small fee attached.  We have so much fun planned for this week and so do join our facebook page for regular updates:            facebook: suffolk science festival

The 26th of February is the learning Day for this year and 200 children from local schools will have a whole day of Science entertainment and workshops for free in Bury St. Edmunds.  If you wish your school to be included in the free events for 2019, sign up now to bring your class of children in Key Stage 1, or 2 to a Scientific Extravaganza.  Maybe you would like to sponsor our Free Education Day and then do contact us at Kinetic Science and the Festival Team will talk this through with you.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Suffolk Science Festival brought to you by the Kinetic Science Foundation
