on the 9th, 10th & 11th of february 2018
Our theme for this year is space and back
Are there any aliens out there?
Are we alone?
“Welcome to the home of the Suffolk Science Festival. Whether you think you like Science, Maths, Computing and Engineering is not relevant when we have so many free exhibits, stalls and stands for you to visit. We know how to bring Science Alive and for families this is the place to be at the start of the February school holiday.
The first Suffolk Festival will be over three central locations throughout the town of Bury St. Edmunds and on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th there will be a trail of events. We are creating a trail around the town to find the Planets and to stop at each station and obtain the stamp for a card to say you have visited the venue. At the last location and once your Trail card is complete you can leave your card with us and enter a draw for several amazing prizes including a family ticket to a Theme Park.

Space are we alone?
All of the exhibits are open to the public for free and although there is a Planet Trail each location has science workshops and exhibits of all topics and so you do not need to be interested in Astronomy to come along and join in.
We have guest speakers and major events for the fun weekend and in 2019 we will have an event for a whole week. We need to make this year a success so that we have a solid base and interested customers and sponsors to make this a themed event each year.
The 9th of February is the learning Day for this year and 200 children from local schools will have a whole day of Science entertainment and workshops for free in Bury St. Edmunds. If you wish your school to be included in the free events in 2019, sign up now to bring your class of children in Key Stage 1, 2 or 3 to a Scientific Extravaganza.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Suffolk Science Festival brought to you by the Kinetic Science Foundation
